It's so quiet...
So after a long absence the opportunity came to revisit the Honeypot. Not a great opportunity, as it was to be a short visit at the unusually early time of 8pm, but beggars can't be choosers and previous visits at the same time had been enjoyable.
So, the positives. The club still exists (which is a rarity after covid helped decimate the industry in the UK) and looks much as it did before. The barmaid was fun and chatty, and the beers were in the region of 6 quid per bottle. Expensive, but not madly so for somewhere near London.
Sadly that's where the positives end. The club before I arrived had a ratio of 1 dancer per customer, which sounds good until you realise that there was a singular customer and singular dancer in the entire place. The customer was apparently a regular and took the dancer off to the VIP, leaving myself and the barmaid to natter on about politics and generally putting the world to rights.
