• Papi_ChuloApproved·Like most custies I hate paying for a partial-dance (especially if dances are expensive) - my usual M.O. is to tell a dancer to wait for the next song to start - in clubs where there is a dance-counter staff-person then I avoid heading to the dance-area mid-song bc the dance-counter/staff-person may not know we're waiting for the next song (assuming we're out-of-sight of the staff-person). Most dancers wait for the next song - some tell u don't worry about it and won't charge u for it - but other dancers will charge u even if they just danced 15-seconds of the song - since it's a crapshoot I take the initiative of telling the dancer to wait in order to avoid issues when it comes time to pay up. Sometimes if the song has just started I may just count/start that song - or if I'm planning to tip anyway then I consider the partial-song that I'm paying for as the tip I was planning to give - but 95% of the time my M.O. is to tell the dancer to wait till a new song to start.
