In nice weather, I love to have cocktails and dinner outside at the bar or restaurant. I always wanted to go to a strip club that serves outdoors, but I think the logistics of ladies in various states of undress would be difficult with the neighbors and law enforcement.

The Centerfold has opened up a “game room,” outside and covered, accessed by a side door. It’s a little grungy, even has a pool table that looks uneven and wobbly in its placement. No neighbors to worry about. The outdoor area seems to be more of a smoking area for the ladies and patrons (lots of weed, now legal in Michigan, is toked in the game room). It is also a good place to get away from the loud music and to have a nice talk and cuddle with your favorite dancer. It’s a start toward my dream patio.

The Centerfold has been a long standby in the Detroit strip club scene, playing rock music, and is relatively affordable. Most Detroit mongers have probably paid a visit over the past 25 years. It has a fenced parking lot, watched over by the guy at the front door, and is relatively safe from a surrounding tough neighborhood. Paid the front door attendant $2 for my afternoon visit - it may go up to like $5 on evenings. My beer was $7. Trips to the nasty VIP area upstairs cost $10 to enter, plus dance fee of $20 per. Extras are not easily obtained in Detroit bars — I’ve been coming here since the Detroit crackdown and haven’t been offered anything. And you know as an experience Detroit monger, my spidy senses can pick up on extra opportunities quite well.
