It’s not expensive, only $800!

I was out again! As luck would have it I found myself at an event north and right near FlashDancers Midtown. I had been here before, after the change from Private Eyes but pre-covid.

It seems they have the same $10 cover before 8:00p as their downtown cousin. Mandatory $3 coat check here. Long bar when you get in, small bathroom at the back of this half with troll. Couple of microscopic stages that they were trying to squeeze two dancers on. Oh, and Dark. Only seemed to be lit by the overhead ‘neon’ and the under bar rope light.

Bar was crowded with customers and some dancers so I asked one of the girls at the front desk if there was waitress service inside. She said yes and said she was it. She followed me inside where once again, it was dark. I don’t think my eyes ever fully adjusted the entire time I was there. I ordered a Dewars on the rocks. It was $18, a bit higher than the downtown counterpart. I opened a tab with a CC and had the same waitress for the night who seemed to know the right time to come over and ask if I needed another. Never got asked if I wanted to buy the lady a drink when I had a dancer with me. I never pressured to. When I closed out at the bar, the bartender pointed at the tip line if I wanted to leave the waitress a tip. I couldn’t see the receipt because of how dark it was and had to hold it under the lip of the bar to see it by the light that went around. There was already a 20% gratuity added and I asked her about that, she said that was a service charge and wandered away. If I had been in a more sober state of mind, I would have simply found the waitress and given her a cash tip, instead I added some additional, dumb PL move.
