I tried sugar shack on a rainy Wednesday night . I’m generally a more dayshift person, but they don’t open until 7pm so night shift it was. The parking lot is a decent size with good access to the street. It was a pretty slow night so I didn’t have to pay cover to get in, but I believe it was supposed to be $10. I initially sat at the bar while I got the lay of the land.

There was probably about 12-15 other customers there, no one was obnoxiously intoxicated and everyone pretty much stayed to themselves. The bar is just a single countertop that faces away from the stage , but you can turn around and face the stage while you enjoy your drink. The drinks were not super expensive, but not totally cheap. It was $6 dollars for a jack and coke. There is “VIP” seating in front of the bar with tables and chairs. I’m not sure what constitutes a “VIP” as anyone just sat wherever they wanted (perhaps on busier days it gets more competitive. )

The main stage is a kind of horse shoe with chairs set up around it. It has this cool metal grate that runs around the edge of the stage that they run air through so it can make your tips fly through the air which was kind of fun. The stage is surrounded by flashing lights and what I can best describe as a laser show (if your are an epileptic I would not go to this club.) There is no pole on the main stage, just a small horizontal bar for the dancers to hold on to. The dancers were on a 2-3 song rotation and did not do a tip walk which was nice. I mostly saw them go topless, but you can tip them to take their bottoms off as well (please note I only saw this twice, so I think they let the dancers decide if the want to go full nude.)
