I decided to visit the Bird for the first time in over five years, and I was pleasantly surprised at the changes that have happened in that time. The last time I went there, it was pretty slow (may have been a weeknight) and there were two options for dances - $10 no touch on couches around the outside of the main area and $20 VIP in a separate room, $20 wristband required. They've done away with the $10 dances as far as I can tell, since there were regular tables and chairs along the walls.

Cover was $7, drinks were priced pretty well (I had a couple of Coors Lights for $3.75 a piece), and it was VERY busy. I guess they do special nights on the last weekend of the month, with raffle drawings for small prizes throughout the night, so there was plenty of girls there and even more customers. There are two stages, one in the middle of the room with two poles and one to the right of the main stage along the far wall, maybe 20 feet away, with one pole. The bar is right next to the main stage on the back wall across the building from the entrance.

I took a seat on the opposite side of the room from the "backup" stage and quickly noticed a couple of things: one, many of the girls seemed to gravitate to the area between the stages, especially if there was a group of customers, although a few would occasionally mingle with those of us on the other side; two, the girls had their regulars who they spent most of their time with, only getting up to go on stage or to VIP. I had been there for about 30 minutes before one came over and talked to me. She wasn't really my type, but I wanted to see how things went. She was very young and has only been dancing for two months. Not very conversational, so we sat there awkwardly until she got up to go elsewhere.
