Is this it for me? No More Clubs?

Hello Everyone! It's been a long time. My last review in Jan 2020 had been my last visit to a club (you know, The Covid). I lost probably a year and a half of VIP weeks because of it and got downgraded. I've been itching to get back in once things cooled down but it's harder to find the time in my hometown. It was always much easier to be a monger when traveling for work and unfortunately times change and I don't do that anymore.

So.. I found myself at an event way downtown that wasn't gonna last nearly as long as I thought it was so it gave me a window of opportunity. Flashdancers Downtown was a 20m walk or 7m subway from where I was - I took the subway to maximize the time I could spend there. It was a good choice because I got in at 8:01pm. I know it was 8:01 because the woman at the door checked her phone and said she'd give me a break and only charge me the $10 before 8pm cover but next time she insisted I get there earlier. I ended up checking my coat and hat (not required) for $3 and left a tip.

I had been here before in what seems like (and probably was) decades ago when it was under another name (NY Dolls maybe). At that point the place was pretty open, the bar was small and the stage was an oval in the middle of the space. It was still in the era of the $10 table dance before the lap dance became the thing. Of course the place has been extensively remodeled since the 90s. There's a wall divider between the bar space and the "Topless Lounge." There are window like openings in the wall where you can see through to the stages at the back. There is a tiny stage in the bar area which is barely big enough to hold the dancer. There's lots of wood details so in general the place has the feel of a stuffed chair club (though the furniture is still your typical strip club fare).
