CHILL VISIT WITH SOME STICKER SHOCK
First visit in 2 years, I was in a chill night mood. Meaning I came to club to settle in a while not jump into anything too hastily, particularly given some recent pricing changes I've read about. Right off the bat I was struck by how much lower the noise level was compared to place across the street. Not library quiet, but conversation noticeably less challenging. Moving on to $$ and other factors.....
COSTS: Cover charge was $22, all hours (told 3pm - 6am). Bottled water (16 oz bottle vs 10oz at 2001) and juices/sodas were $6. Dance prices is where sticker shock comes in. You still pay 2 separate fees- the VIP booth fee, and the dancer fee. The booth rental fee is $25 for 1st dance, $18 for each additional dance, paid upfront in advance. So if you do 2 dances, and decide you'd like to do a single song extension (but not splurge for 15 minute VIP package), you reset the ticker at $25. No spontaneous $18 extensions.
The dancers quoted me various prices ranging from $25 per song to $40 tonight. For 15 minute VIP, it's still $60 booth rental fee, dancers wanted anywhere from $100 to $200 for them.
