Dead Tuesday

Driving through CO Springs, thought I'd check out DV on a Tuesday night. Not sure if it was just an off night, but it was pretty disappointing.

The club felt like a huge shed or old warehouse; a big square room with plain square walls (and mirrors), the small cushion chairs at round tables all around the room, and a row of chairs along the back wall. There was an elevated main stage in the middle of the room, with 3 poles, and smaller stage in the corner that wasn't being used. I arrived around 10 pm, and the place was nearly empty. There were like 2 dudes in the place, and when I sat down, there was one girl dancing, and no others anywhere. Within a few minutes, one of the guys got up and left.

The white girl dancing was skinny, a few tattoos, and looked around 25. But she showed no signs of even pretending to want to be there. She danced like she was bored or lazy - it was not fun to watch. While she danced, 1 or 2 girls came out of the back, but seemed to head outside for a smoke or something - they never even came around or looked my way. And they were 6s at best. Then another came out but sat down by herself. After the first girl finished her set, another girl who looked about the same, but with a little more meat on her replaced her and had the same lackluster attitude. At this point a girl came out of the back with a customer - must have been doing private dancers. She looked all right - young, blonde, spinner. But she headed to the back to the changing room, and never came back out before I left.
