Nothing Special, But Good for Minneapolis

I went to Spearmint Rhino on a Wednesday night mostly due to the fact that this club is open until 3AM on weekdays and it was already past midnight. I was greeted by the bouncer as I entered the building. There is a small, pretty dark, entry where I had my ID scanned, paid the $10 cover, and received a pat down before entering. The club is fairly long but also not very wide. As you enter, there are some cocktail tables with stools to the left and a bar on the right. Past that, there is a stage to the right (next to the bar) and seated tables with chairs to the left. A lot of these tables had "Reserved" signs on them, but a few were there for open seating. Overall the club is nice - it's very dark, but they had nice lighting for the stage area...music was also pretty loud. This club looks pretty small, but there are a ton of VIP sections both upstairs and downstairs...bathrooms are located downstairs.

Overall the dancers on this night were pretty sub-par. Out of the about 8-10 girls working this night, there were only 2 that really caught my eye that I would consider above a 7. Ethnicities were mixed, 3-4 AA dancers, about 3-4 Latinas, and 2-3 Caucasian dancers...there was one dancer there I would consider an 8 or 9, but she was busy most of the night with one patron. Since it was a pretty slow night, a handful of dancers stopped by and chatted with me - they were all very friendly and nice and none were very pushy about dances or VIP rooms. I went into the club ready to spend a decent amount but wasn't really inspired by any of the talent there. Seeing as it's a Minneapolis club, I wasn't expecting much milage from the floor dances, but I was OK with that. My thinking was that if I found a dancer I'd like, I would try my luck in the VIP rooms. There was one girl that caught my eye, a smaller Puerto Rican with a nice rack. She came by to chat with me and we talked for a bit. (I could tell she was under the influence of something, but she wasn't drunk) Conversation with her wasn't anything special...I typically like to connect with dancers on some level before I decide to do anything else, but that wasn't really happening here. Without any interest in the other dancers that were available, I decided to do a dance with this girl to see how it was at $20 per dance. Dances take place in the seating area where the tables are marked "Reserved", so not a ton of privacy here but it is very dark which helps. Minneapolis dances are normally expensive, low contact, and no touching, so that's what I expected here...to my surprise, this was a pretty good dance and I was able to touch and feel all over. I decided to do another song, but she had to go on stage as our second song was ending. Like I said, I wasn't interested in any of the other dancers so I waited for this girl to finish her stage set and got 3 more high contact dances from her.

This club is pricey but not crazy...$10 cover, beers were $8, and lap dances $20...not insane but not a great value either. VIP rooms on the other hand are crazy expensive. I got various quotes from other girls ranging from $250-$300 for 15 min, $500-$600 for 30 min, and $900-$1,000 for an hour. I did get the Puerto Rican girl down to $140 for 15 min...I was going to take her up on this, but she had to do another stage set and one she finished I think she left for the night, didn't see her again. Also one side note, the club says they close at 3AM which they do...but last call for alcohol is 2AM and they turn the lights on at 2:30AM. From 2:30AM - 3:00AM you can only do VIP dances, but most of the girls were packing up by then.
