Mediocre overall, not bad for the area
Overall this was an enjoyable trip, but the girls and the club itself were just mediocre. However, I don't know how much more a person could expect based on the area (Waterloo, Iowa). So, my overall review is "would highly recommend if you're in the area, just keep expectations in check".
Location: the club is in a decent part of town--right across the street from a nice sports center and right next door to a wrestling museum. As far as downtown Waterloo goes, they could have put it in a lot worse place. The parking lot is well lit, and probably the nicest part is that the club and the parking do not have many other structures around, so you feel a little safer from the open space.
Layout: the club is on the smaller side--one bar and one stage with tables spaced throughout. The bar is clean, good beer selection, and nicely decorated in my opinion. The private dance areas are off to the side, just through a curtain. There appeared to be three private dance chairs, which were separated by half wall and half curtain. Private dance areas have a little table for you to set you drink, but nowhere to hang your coat so I had to put my coat on the floor (gross, more on cleanliness below).
Overall vibe: not too bad. It was pretty dead when I went in, so my take on it might not be representative. There were two black guys and one white guy there when I was--everyone seemed very respectful and just there to have a good time. The music was a little too loud, but not unbearable. The place had a little of a cigarette smoke smell to it, likely a carryover from back when you could smoke in bars in Iowa. The bathroom was of medium cleanliness, but unmanned when I was there. Door guy was nice. I had called ahead to check and make sure they were open and the "Mike" I spoke to was also very pleasant on the phone.
The Girls: there were only three girls working when I came in. One was a big, thick black chick and the other two were petite, young little white chicks. The black chick really had curves, not super pretty though, but also admittedly not my normal type. The little white chicks were both brunette, one with nice little curves and the other was pretty skinny. When I came in the black chick was on stage and the two white girls were sitting at the bar drinking soda. I sat at the bar, got a beer, and made conversation with one of the white girls. The conversation was not very good so I just suggested we head straight to the private room. It was $20 for a lap dance so I started with that. She was working it good and I wanted to keep going so I asked if we could extend--they do 30 minutes for $150, which I thought was an absolute bargain. We switched over from my one private dance to a 30 minute private session, and the girl just said we'd subtract 5 minutes off for the song she'd already danced to, which I thought was fair. The girl could dance pretty well, so that makes me think she was good at her job, but at the same time she wasn't pushing to get a longer dance in or anything like that so I don't know how hard she was trying to make money. That is not a complaint by any means, just saying that I would have normally expected to be worked pretty hard for cash in that situation and wasn't. I never got hustled very hard by any of the girls when I was there.
Cleanliness was good at the bar but crappy in the private dance area. In the first chair we were going to sit in, there was a huge stain on the chair so we went to the next booth over instead. There was no coat hook so I had to set my coat on the floor, which was gross.
I didn't try for any extras. They have to keep their bottoms on at this place. The girl I had was very open to touching as long as it wasn't her kitty. I could smell a little weed smoke at one point so I'm guessing staff has a green room somewhere.
There is a VIP section but I didn't ask about it. They have a vending machine.
Overall I would definitely go back. It was not the best strip club by any means, but given the location I don't know how much more a person could really expect. The cost was really low in my opinion, both drinks and dances. The 30 minutes for $150 is an absolute bargain in my opinion. Just that alone will probably get me to come back when I'm in the area again. I would highly recommend if you are in the area and looking for a good time. There's another club just down the street but based on reports I opted for Flirts, I would probably stick with that choice based on my experience.
