Follow-up Visit: Entertaining, But Not The Way You Want
So, based upon my last review, I decided to follow up and see if any of my hunches about the trajectory of this place were correct. I am really off my game, evidently.
This time, got there fairly early for a Friday night/Saturday morning (a bit after midnight). Place was fairly full, but I had no problem finding either a place to park the car or finding a seat. Took one a bit away from the stage to first get a sense of the action and any prospects. Didn't move the entire time there, so there is an indication of what I experienced.
Layout of the place is still the same: large stage in the center, with chairs and tables placed around it, several rows deep. What passes as the DJ booth you can see to the left of the stage, while to the right is a pool table for those who are interested (not free, btw). VIP rooms appear to be on both the ground floor (3 rooms) and upstairs (3 more). Curtains, some solid/dark, others somewhat opaque, are the only barriers used. Actually, the upstairs rooms bear a SLIGHT resemblance to the dance rooms at the old Penthouse Club in Philadelphia, but I doubt seriously that there is anything going on in them that remotely resembles what happened in the other club. As noted before, an area connecting the club to the adult gift shop houses the rest rooms, vending machines, and the ATM. Cover was $20, I believe.
