Regulars only need apply

After hitting Oz, went to Diamond Dolls. Previous reviews made it sound like there were definite possibilities there. It's right off of 19, found a parking spot right as I pulled in. Paid the cover, walked through to the back. There's a couple of stages, one to the right as you enter, and another further on. The look of the place; reminds me of a 1970 strip club, pretty dated and worn.

The girls; There were a fair amount of dancers, around maybe 7-8 that I could see. There were 2 on the stages, and the rest draped over different men at the bar, who seemed to be regulars. The dancers on stage came across as bored, going through the motions. Many of them weren't all that attractive, but there was a spinner with tight curly hair that looked good to me. I tipped her on stage, but she did not approach me when she was done, instead disappearing. The women at the bar showed no interest in me, none of them came over to try for any conversation or to ask directly for a dance.

I hung out for a while, but with dancers continuing to ignore me, I said "Screw this" and left. Places can really vary by the night, but I got the feeling here that if they didn't know you, if you weren't a regular, they couldn't care less about you. That, combined with the shabby look and feel of the place, means I won't return.
