Identity crisis? A return to its true self? A temporary seasonal blip? Dunno.

My feeling is that this club is undergoing somewhat of either an identity crisis or reverting to some of it's pre-remodel ways. By that I mean, it's extraordinarily inconsistent since around the start of the new year. It's inconsistent in ways that don't seem to make sense to me. For example, previously they played music that catered to a younger crowd, recent hip-hop, latino music, etc. And they played it at volumes that anyone over 30 felt was too fucking loud. Lately, some days they still play that same music style, but play it at a volume the older crowd can handle but the younger crowd finds boring. Or they'll play 90's rock that appeals to the older crowd, but they'll do it a ear-bleed inducing levels. The result is it doesn't seem to please either crowd.

Dancer wise, it's a similar story. Previously, they had a good mix of girls in terms of size/shape/age. They also had diverse styles, some liked to dance on stage and get money thrown at them, others focused on lap dances, some catered to regulars. Lately, the dancers are all a bit older and a good bit thicker, and a lot fewer in number. A Friday in early Jan would have 50-60 girls in the afternoon. Now, maybe half that tops. And they mostly all have the same approach, a quick intro and then hit up for a dance/room. They'll try that same approach with a guy sitting alone at the bar or with a group sitting in a booth with a table. Almost none of them put any effort on stage, many don't take off any clothes anymore. Speaking of the stage, they changed the rotation. It used to be 4 separate girls, each doing a 3 song set on their one pole. Now, each girl does one song per pole. So if you're sitting next to the first pole in rotation, you'll never see a girl get naked near you. Somehow, they seem to have trouble matching up dancer attitudes with the vibe they're pushing in the club, likely because it changes every few hours.
