Monday VIP special is still a good deal
I was motivated to check out Centerfolds SF after seeing Savvy Sav's last review. Before the pandemic this spot was a favorite of mine, but now Gold Club up in Rancho Cordova has claimed that title. Still I remembered my good times here and the shorter drive to make it here (1 hour round trip versus 2 hour round trip for GCC) and decided what the hell.
I wasn't able to make it before 8pm and was charged a $30 cover. Which was $10 more expensive than it was when I last paid cover on a Monday night, but that was over a year ago. After removing all metal items from my pockets the door guy wanded me down and took a quick glance at my ID then led me in. So I guess no more ID scan, which is a lot better since no one wants that shit. I was surprised when they accepted a $10 off coupon from 4 years ago which was just collecting dust in my wallet.
Stepped through the beads after the lobby and the place looks relatively unchanged. The stage is on your right as soon as you enter, and there is a wall of booths which all had reserved signs on them. There are chairs and tables scattered along around the stage, and an upper landing where the bar is. The bar serves non alcoholic drinks that bear the names of actual beer. So the menu shows Heineken, Corona, etc but it isn't actual beer. Or at least that's what I was told by the waitress, I never tried it to be sure.
