I pulled into the run down parking lot and the first thing I noticed is they have upgraded the lighting. You may still blow a tire out driving through what is left of the pavement and given the neighborhood you may still get stabbed but hey now you will be able to see who did the stabbing.
I went inside and it was 9PM there is a little podium but the guy standing there said there wasn’t a cover yet and let me in. This place was empty like the only people I saw inside were the bartender and myself. I asked if any one was working and he said there a couple girls in the back. I grab a Guinness ($5) disappointingly in a can, and grab a seat. While sitting there I can faintly here one girl chatting it up with a guy in the VIP over music (mix of rap and techno shortened to 3 minute clips) and I just wait while watching spring training baseball. That’s right, smack in the middle of March madness they have both big screen TVs turned to meaningless baseball. Probably wouldn’t have caught my eye but since I sat there for fifteen minutes and finished my beer not one girl ever stepped on the floor.
