I can see how people would like it, just not my type of place
Was in Houston for work and just a coincidence that I booked a hotel next door. Decided since it was just a fence away, I should try it out. Arrived about 10pm-ish on a Saturday night. After paying the $15 cover, there were 5-6 waitresses hanging around the front door waiting. One took charge of me, offered to give me a tour of the club (as did several dancers later). I declined because I didn't plan on doing VIP. Waitress discussed two karaoke rooms near the front, main bar to the left, main stage to the right with a smaller side stage in front of you with the restrooms beyond. Waitress sat me down at a middle of the room table. $8 beer. The dancers were rotating between the main stage, small side stage and apparently a VIP area stage I couldn't really see. They were doing two songs each, one fully clothed, one topless. If you like young, thin, pretty girls this is the place for you (I tend to prefer an older, curvier stripper). The ladies that did have larger breasts were man-made. The decor was fairly upscale for a strip joint. Got approached by 3-4 dancers all aiming for VIP. There was a couch area to the right of the main stage where lap dances were happening but the only dancer who wanted to do so when I asked quoted 3 dances for $100. I said maybe later. They stopped the dancing and music around midnight for the 2 minute UFC fight and I left. The weirdest thing about the place was the other customers. I've been to a lot of strip joints in the last 37 years and you can count on one hand the number where I've seen customers drinking wine. There were 5-6 here. Everyone was dressed nicer than I and I was the only one drinking beer (mixed drinks other than wine). I think it was a "higher class" strip joint because of location vs cost.
