Circus is on the way back!

I'll spare you a detailed description of the interior, but it's a U-shaped or horseshoe shaped bar, with a stage at one end and the bathrooms/dressing rooms at the other end. I'd expected a totally dead scene based on recent reviews, but instead it was fairly lively. I sat with a 6 or so and bought her a drink so I could snag the ol' Baltimore handshake. Nothing's changed on that front, that's for sure. I asked about the newly vibrant situation at this bar, and was told that the bartender, Marie, had recruited a fresh set of ladies. The menu remains as it ever was, although I wasn't in the mood to indulge every option. But there were mostly white girls, combination of blondes and brunettes, and one AA dancer. I'd say every girl was between a 5 and a 7, and from what I could tell they were all willing to hit up the back room for full VIP.

I too experienced the wretched days of this club, when the place looked like a heroin den. So even though I'd hardly say that the glory days are back (think back to when Rob had his harem of 8s and even 9s), there is at least a viable scene going on at Circus right now. I'm not sure I'd go out of my way, but I was in town from DC and figured there are nearby bars if the Block was dead so I gave it a shot.

So all in all, not my absolute favorite all-time Block visit, things (at this club at leas) seem to be on the upswing.
