I've been to the dolphin a few times when I visit the area for work. They have a decent selection of liquor and their drinks are average price. The girls are definitely hit or miss but most of them are willing to sit and have a drink with you without being pushy for any dance. There aren't usually a ton of people and you can generally choose from the girls if you time things correctly.
I did end up getting a VIP dance for 30 minutes in their back area. They have couches that are behind transparent curtains but it is very dark so you can't really see in or out. Great mutual dance and good conversation in the VIP saved the night for me. I'll probably still keep going back whenever I am in town.
