Expensive, but no regrets
Visited on Monday. They have free entrance before 8pm, and $25 after. I've got there right before 8pm so that it was free for me. The area around is a little sketchy, couple of homeless guys were loitering nearby, but nothing terrible. Do not hope to find parking, it's SF, take an uber or public transport (would be like 5 min walk from the bus stop on Columbus Ave, there's another bus stopping right next to it).
There's security at the entrance which checks you with metal detector. Got some drink (the bar is on the far right from entrance), $8. I think free entry requires a drink but I didn't see anybody being actually asked about it. I got a drink anyway because walking there made me a bit thirsty.
At 8pm it was a bit empty and not too many girls were in, but it started to pick up soon after that. Not many patrons too, maybe half dozen or so by that time, some more came in later, but never was crowded. The dancers was mostly average, some caught my eye but at first nothing exceptional. Some on the floor were pretty heavy hustlers, promised me a lot if I do a dance with them, out of curiosity I agreed to a short one ($60 per dance, yeah, I know, expensive - though time to time they announce 2 for 1 deals). This happens on the back in small rooms behind a curtain. Before that, you pay to the cashier on the side, and they write it into some kind of book - you don't give money to the dancer herself, unless it's tips. So, the dance was a disappointment - she started to hustle for more money immediately, and it was really a mood killer. I know they are not into me for my good looks, but I don't need a constant aggressive reminders of that all the time. Didn't pay more, didn't tip, went back to the scene.
