Okay time and consistent with past visits

I try to stop by the place if I pass through Cedar Rapids. It isn't far off I380. A few times it has been closed (Monday) so I'm not exactly sure if they have modified their days / hours. The alternative is Woody's down the road about 5 miles by the airport.

I arrived a little before 6 and there were 7-8 dancers there but no one on stage. They don't start stage dances until 6, so keep that in mind. It has a local bar vibe going and there were around 8 patrons there just having a drink. Really a low key place without high end SC feel. It was a good mix of white and black dancers and none of them were on the large size, overall selection was pretty good.

There are two stages, I've only seen one ever used. The other appears to used for the practice stage. There were three trying different things on that one when I arrived.

Bud light was $3.75 bottle and $3.25 draft - not going to complain about that. Entry was free - maybe before 7. I have paid $5 in the past after 7 but not a big deal. I think it is the owner Mark that is there at the entrance.

I sat at one of the small tables to start scoping out who is there and who I might want to get dances with. Naomi, a very tall well proportioned black dancer introduced herself and sat down to start a conversation. It wasn't the typical SC introduction and then - want a dance? We chit chatted about all kind of subjects and I didn't feel any pressure to get dances from her.
