Overdressed at the Ritz

Visited the Ritz about 7pm on a Saturday evening. Paid a cover charge of $20 and ordered a beer ($8). This place gets off to a slow start and I was one of three customers in joint. It's a posh and well appointed spot without being at all garish.

There were 5 dancers, with one onstage. The problem with this place -- and its becoming too common in Baltimore -- is that the strippers in a nude strip joint don't want to strip. They dance clothed, turning this into just another bikini bar. I saw four dancers, who were all reasonably hot (6) to very hot (9), but only one took off her top while dancing. Bottomless? Fuhgeddaboudit. Also, while there were 5 dancers and they kept a good stage rotation, the dancers did not drop by to chat or ask about lap dances.

Perhaps I came too early in the evening. I'd try the Ritz again, it seems like it could be great if it gets rolling, but this evening was lacking any sort of vibe.
