- Hank MoodyApproved·If you bought an alcoholic drink first and tipped, they would be more likely to not charge you for the soda. Presumably you tipped for the free soda too. If you went to a different bar or bartender, you’re starting from scratch. Or, they could just not have set prices on NA drinks. That happens.
