I went to PT's today. As I was walking in, the manager said, "just so you know, there is a two-drink minimum here now". I've been going to Indianapolis and central Indiana strip clubs for a dozen years. I've seen required drink rules and I've seen no required drink rules, but I have never run into a requirement to buy two drinks. I said that to him, and he replied he's worked in clubs across the country and that is the requirement in almost every club. Curious, I opened up a discussion here and asked if that was true. I had multiple responders say that was an exaggeration. Lots of clubs don't have that requirement and many of the ones that do don't enforce it a large part of the time.

This is just one more reason for cutting back on visiting this club. This is the first strip club I ever went to, is the closest one to where I live, is one I've spent thousands of dollars at, and have had four favorite regulars at over the years. At this point I'm just going out of habit. Over the last couple of years there has been a steady decline in the quality of dancers. I now often go, spend money to get in and buy a drink and then end up disappointed because there are no dancers in the club I want to look at, let alone buy lap dances from.

A good acronym to apply to strip club operations is "k.i.s.s." meaning "keep it simple stupid". This club violates this regularly. Are customers going to have to buy a second drink they don't want just to make the club more money? Will they have to buy both drinks at once and then carry around two drinks if they change tables or go to the restroom? If they buy one drink at a time will the waitress have to try to remember which customers haven't bought a second drink yet? Will this rule be impartially applied, or will enforcement be random and arbitrary? This applies to lap dances there too. I have to pay to use the lap dance area but often the guy who collects the money isn't around and I have to stand there while the dancer tries to hunt him down. I take one girl back and she charges $25 for a lap dance. I take another girl back and she wants to charge $50 so I have to say no and start my search over again. Why not have a set price and have the customer just hand the girl money? A lot of local clubs do just that.
