New Year, New day drinking habbit :) Not a bad visit.

Stopped by on Monday afternoon to start the new year off right :). Hadn't been here since well before 'rona. Nice bright parking lot with a booth for supervision? at night No cover, just the walk in thru the metal detector ( working? I have a pocket knife I always carry that gives most of them fits, but all quiet). Two main large circular bars ahead - restroom straight to the back then veer right.

Sat at the bar and confirmed the grabby dollar parade. About 10 or so dancers, and about 3/4 of the stools on the left side bar taken. Right hand side was closed. 4-5 dancers on the stage in the center of the bar at a time, and at shift change they all parade around, some not even stopping to say hello or Happy New Year.. just holding out the hand in entitled expectation. Really sours me.

But, the afternoon was saved when an old friend "Samantha" suddenly appeared - she had not been on stage but rather holing up with a "friend" who was doing the Thurston Howell III routine on the far side of the bar. I know her as "Julia" from Clancy's, where she still works days T and Th. She told me it was a good thing I showed up on a Monday, because they "only have 1/2 the usual crowd, so 1/2 the girls" and she made a circular gesture that let me know she hated the parade almost as much as I did! I can't imagine 20 girls lined up for a handout, and none of the starting by lending a hand... I think she's here because the VIP is a much higher mileage proposition than Clancy's Dances.
