Visited: Tuesday Evening

Was back in Manhattan for work after a long hiatus due to the pandemic. Had visited Rick's on a few occasions in the Before Times and wasn't disappointed back then. The same was true again this time. The place hasn't changed much and still provides solid entertainment on weeknights in a busy part of Manhattan, bit on the expensive side but it is Manhattan after all.

The club layout is pretty standard. After paying the cover fee, a manager escorts you into the club where there are seats all around and a stage to the left and a small bar straight ahead. Generally, there are table lap dances occurring (with little privacy) at the tables on the outskirts of the seating area.

On this visit, the doorman comped the entry fee because of a flyer I had for another club (tipped him for his generosity). But I think the cover is generally $20 in the evenings. A manager introduced himself, walked me into the club, and showed me a seat. Thanks him but opted for a bar stool since it was still relatively quiet. Got my $14 lite beer and started to scope the place out.
