Dull, but one dancer saved the day
I've never been to this club before and it's been over 10 years since I've been to any Deja Vu club. But recent postings about this club like "not your typical Deja Vu club" and information about a couple of dancers' higher than average levels of service got me interested. I've also found it interesting that it's on the same street as two other clubs that are known for higher levels of service than most Vu clubs.
I paid the $17 daytime entrance fee ($5 admission + $12 "bottomless" drink) and entered the dark club. It's about as dark as clubs get, similar to Kittens. I couldn't count exactly but I think there were 6 dancers on duty in the early afternoon. All seemed fit. Lots of fake boobs. Lack of personalities. When they came around to ask for a private dance, there was little sitting around making small talk. Only one or two even bothered to sit down. They all said $30 or $40 per song and at least one hinted at extras for extra money.
They did 2 song sets on the stage. Sort of. There is an automated DJ which is somewhat humorous at first. "Let's hear it for Miss Stage. She's available for a private one-on-one session." Of course, "Miss Stage" is when no one is scheduled to dance. And there seems to be quite a few sets without dancers. Probably two with dancers then one without. And sometimes when a dancer is scheduled, they don't show up for the first song or leave the stage early in the second song. With at least six dancers and two song sets at three minutes per song, the dancers would get at least 30 minutes off stage between sets so I don't understand why there is so much time without someone on stage.
