Searching Gold

I was in the mood for a little holiday entertainment and contemplated about which club to visit. I left home with intentions of giving Vivide another shot, as it has been several months since my last visit. I ran into traffic on I-85 about five miles south of the airport. Once I was beyond the slow spot, traffic cleared and I proceeded to head into the city. As I got closer to town, there was sign which suggested that there was another slowdown about a mile ahead. I didn’t want to risk waiting in another slowdown and decided to exit and give Gold Rush a shot. I’ve passed by the club numerous times, but never made a stop.

I arrived around 4:40PM and parked near the fence at the back of the parking lot. I self-parked, but there is a sign out front which mentions valet parking. There were two guys standing near the door. One of them collected the parking charge of $5 and the other did a light pat down. There was not an additional cover charge when I arrived.

The club is spacious. When entering the club, there is a bar directly ahead. There are a couple of pool tables and sitting areas to the far left behind the bar as you enter the club. There is a long stage with a few low leather chairs surrounding the stage. Booths seats are available on both sides of the stage. An additional bar and restrooms are available on the far-right side of the club. A few high-top tables and chairs are also available throughout the club. I made a stop at the restroom before I got settled in. The restroom was pretty clean and there was not attendant.
