Club Wack should be the Name

I was in town to watch Jackson State play in the celebration bowl and I went to Wax this past Friday around 9pm. Parking lot was packed but paid $20 to park in the rear. Security patrolled the lot and kept an eye on cars so parking safety wasn’t a concern. I received a thorough but respectful pat down and was told to “Have fun”. Paid a $20 cover and entered the club where I was instantly smacked in the face by weed smoke. Holy shit it was loud (I’m not talking about the music either) in there.

Club layout has been discussed many times on this site but as you walk in you notice it’s pretty hood but very chilled. Gum stuck in the carpet throughout the club. Dancers were 99% AA with two token Cuban ladies who just sat in front of the vip rooms literally all night talking. They never walked the floor or anything. Didn’t see a single security guard inside on the floor at all. But Never felt unsafe at all. The VIP rooms are on your right next to ATMS and a rather old ass cigarette machine. A couple of stages where there seemed to be no organized rotation of dancers or anything. DJ never even called the girls on stage by name or even acknowledged them. Couple pool tables and a small bar in the back by the men’s room. The Front bar was busy and the drinks were high as hell for the amount of liquor that you get. Light skinned male bartender was fast and chilled but very tight with his liquor pours. After the drink disappointment, I just stuck to bud lights for the rest of the night. The talent in this club has went down hill from what I remember from about a year ago. I didn’t see anything over a 6 in there on this night. I was approached by one dancer the entire time I was there. I declined because she didn’t seem to have herself put together at all. She was a dark skinned spinner type who didn’t have her hair done or any type of make up done at all. Out of what I estimated to be about 30 ladies, only 3 or 4 were actually actively dancing or asking for dances. The vibe in this place was almost too chilled. There’s some lazy women in here on this night. I counted 5 or 6 dancers in different areas of the club (including the front bar) “rolling up”. I mean had the whole bag of weed sitting on the bar rolling a blunt! Wtf is this place? Two dancers sat in the back at the bar and shared a blunt and scrolled on instagram for over 30 mins. After about an hour of watching girls dance for patrons, I noticed zero stick shifting and some ok grinding in the middle section by the longer stage but thats about it. Nothing like my visit last year at all.

One major complaint I have is there is much more room for MORE SEATS AND A COUCH OR TWO for dances. There’s literally nowhere to sit! If you find a seat keep it. Most guys sitting are not tipping, they are busy rolling up weed(seems to be the theme here).
