A Sunday evening on 33rd street in NYC...

Had some time to kill, so I stopped in last Sunday evening around 6:30pm. I had been here before around this time, so I was hoping it would be better, but suffice to say, it was not. This place is right next door to Ricks, which is much higher end than this place. That being said, there was no cover and the door guy was friendly enough. The gal working the coat check/cash register when you first walk in did ask me to remove my hat, which I was allowed to hold on to. When I got inside, I saw several other guys still wearing a hat, so it doesn't seem like a hard fast rule.

This place isn't that big for a NYC club. A slightly L shaped bar is on the left when you first walk in. There were maybe 10 barstools in total. There is real small pole stage in the corner of the bar in the front, which was not being used this night. Maybe 3 or 4 high-top tables to the right as you walk in across from the bar. Its a good place to watch a game, as the tv setup right behind the bar is very good. They subscribe to the NFL ticket, as all of the late 4:00 NFL games were being shown when I was there. Just past the bar there is the main stage, where the ladies strut around. Past that there were a bunch of tables and chairs with a padded bench all along the wall on the right. Very clean bathrooms are downstairs. Private dances look to take place upstairs, but I never made up there.

Upon arriving, a grabbed a bar seat to watch some of the games. The attractive barkeep told me it was happy hour, all beers and well drinks were half off. Added bonus. So the normally $12 drafts were only 6 bucks. After asking her, I was told its happy hour every day till 8:00, so that's worth noting. Unlike last time, not a single dancer came into the bar area when I was there. And I was there for about 45 minutes. Seemed odd. There were no more than 5 gals working that evening. From what I saw when there were on stage, they were in the 5-6 range. I didn't see anything that wanted to make me venture in and sit near the stage.
