Deserted Monday
I have been going to this club off and on for 30 years and while it never falls off the list, it never rises on it either. Monday was the Patriots game and I like Monday night football in bars, so I headed to Providence. First stop Desires, which was dead. Just enough dancers and customers to make it totally boring so I headed here for on beer before home. Metal detector, but my vape (weed) made it through attached to my car keys. $10.00 cover, no tip jar. Upon entry you face the main bar. Off to the right is the smoking patio. TVs on the wall around the bar. Beer is $6.00. As you continue on into the club you encounter the main stage which is large and surrounded by chairs. Stage dancing here is good and the dancers are fairly touchy feely for stageside. Chairs and tables surround the area and there is a back bar as well, which was in use but not used on this empty Monday night.
I know Mondays are no longer a big strip club night, but 8 customers makes this place seem beyond empty. The dancers ranged from a couple of 8s, but mainly 5s. Basic $25.00 lap dances are done in a large room to the left and back of the main stage as you face it. The cashier is for the dancers on the way out, not you on the way in. Massage girls available, I believe $20 a song which is twice as much as other clubs in the area.
Since the pandemic the basic dance has become basically a waste. It used to be nude if you bought two dances. My last few times here this has not happened, and Monday was no exception. I received dances from a non-English speaking dancer. It's rare but her English was so limited I gave up trying to figure out what she was offering. Her dances were just OK, with decent contact, but not Providence contact. Two other dancers came over, but I had to decline based on their size. It was a thick night, with the only 2 spinners occupied talking to customers.
