A Demure Brazilian and Other Sundries
Bottom line advisory before getting into the mandatory details: Based on this and previous experience, this place often doesn't have enough dancers working afternoons. I was there from around 2-4 pm, and only saw 3 dancers, and maybe heard the names of 1 or 2 others while in LD area. There were too-long stretches when there wasn't a woman in site, except for the bartender who is attractive enough but all business. It's possible other dancers were in VIP, but those would have been long VIP sessions.
Delilah's is just north of Center City Philadelphia and close to the Delaware River waterfront. May seem a little remote but it is a safe, trendy area.It is in a large, quiet strip mall-type building. Plenty of parking.
When you enter there is a counter on the left where they'll collect $10 cover after 6 pm. Straight ahead is a counter where you'll deal with the woman who collects $ for VIP. Right turn to walk through metal detector after emptying pockets. If detector alarms, guy will sie you up and probably let you pass, at least if you're old and white. Men's room on left, stairs to VIP and one of the two L/D areas on right.
Delilah's has the most impressive layout among it's Columbus Boulevard vicinity counterparts, which include Cheerleaders and Risque Philadelphia. Large room with a long, wide stage, which extends from stairs coming down from the VIP area (where the dancers make their grand entrance) to a large, round bar at the other end. High ceiling and a high pole for the daring dancers. there is stageside seating along both sides of the stage (unusual in Phila), small tables with seats behind that, and booths behind that. Plus seats around the bar. There's also a small bar at the end of the stage by the entrance, but I've never seen it open during my daytime visits.
There's a second lap dance area in the back left, right, past the bar. Both areas are well-concealed from the bar/stage area, bt really no privacy from other patrons. The L/D area in the back seems to get less traffic. Had it to myself with the two dancers I was with that afternoon. Dances are $20 each. You deal directly with the dancer. For VIP, the process has changed, and I haven't done VIP lately. Used to be you paid around $300 for a half hour, and the attendant at the front counter gave the dancer her cut. Last time I was there, I think the house only collected like $150 +/-.
