Back again, Hippo Sunday night

My friend was in town (the weekend before Thanksgiving), he prefers Hippo (over Palomino’s) as we had a nice time on our last visit. We went there somewhat early as it was Sunday night around dinner time. I knew it was DEAD since there’s barely any cars out in the parking lot. Parked at a spot where normally they put a “cone” to reserve for valet.

New door guy (from my last visit), typical pat down and asked if we Uber or cab there (not sure how he missed us pulling in) Showed my local ID so we were good even though my friend is from out of town. I tipped him since he didn’t charge us a door fee. He wrote something on this slip where I give to cashier.

As soon as you walk in, past the cashier cage (on your right) there’s the infamous Hippo mascot, it’s pretty cool (when you first see it) Behind the iconic Hippo there’s a bar (which usually not in use unless it’s super crowded) The right side of the building/section is CLOSED (they roped it off but you still have to go that side for the restroom)
