The Candy Store is in way north Phoenix, at least 15 miles from my usual haunts, and not a place I would go without good reason. However, in Richard Head's review of this club back in July, he mentioned that a former Bourbon Street favorite of mine, a beautiful petite buxom blonde named Sammy was now working there, and I've been trying to catch her there ever since. She disappeared from Bourbon a couple years ago near the end of COVID restrictions. I had asked other dancers about her status, and followed up on some rumored sightings, but alas she had changed her number and I couldn't reach her. I thought she was out of the lapdance game, and had given up until seeing RH's review (names help!). Eventually I was able to reach her through social media and verify she would be there on a Saturday night when I would be in town, and my planned reunion began to materialize. I've been a PL for many years, and have learned the pitfalls of getting too attached to dancers. I've grown a thicker skin when favorites go away, but when Sammy walked up to me in a red teddy, with cleavage busting out of it, with that angelic face smiling at me, it all came flooding back. She is such a fox, one of the most attractive dancers I've known. I am happy to report I spent an extended VIP session with her, and was thrilled to re-connect. I got dances from a few others, and was reasonably impressed with the club, but also with one major annoyance to be described below.

First - here are some club details: The club is small-medium in size, I would say somewhere between Bandaids and HL. Parking is plentiful, and on a major street, seemed secure. As you enter, a girl on the left takes your $10 cover, and offers a beer from the cooler. I arrived about 9pm, don't know if there is a day cover. To the immediate left is the main stage dance room, with VIP areas behind it, and to the right from the entrance is a long bar, restrooms, a back stage, and at the very back another VIP area and a pool table. The place has very much a neighborhood bar feel to it. Club was well lit, music was mostly R&B, volume was not too loud to have a conversation unless you were right under a speaker. Dancers were doing two song sets, the back stage was not open. In the main dance room there are chairs that surround the edge of the stage, a few tables, and love seat style vinyl seats around the room perimeter. I planted in one of the love seats on the wall, and waited for a server to stop by, but there was only one and she looked busy so I walked to bar to get a bottle of water. The bartender gave me a cold bottle, and said there was no charge, nice touch! Most clubs charge $5 for a bottle of water that costs them almost nothing. I noted that there were several couples in the club, which was kind of a nice change. I waited for Sammy to come in, and watched the stage for a while. I've always thought of this as kind of a dive club, but the talent looked quite acceptable. Most were young and thin, relatively cute. Definitely more ink that Bourbon, but that's true everywhere. I agreed to a LD from Lizette, an older dancer with a friendly attitude and great rack. She was a little soft where you would normally prefer firm, but for $20 and two LDs, it was a nice intro. A few others stopped by, but I was watching the front door for Sammy, so passed on the others. The parade of dancers on the main stage looked OK, and there was some traffic in and out of the VIP area behind the stage. Bathroom was visited, kinda small, but clean, and no attendant. I was there about an hour before the dancer rotation began to repeat. More dancers and customers seem to come in about 10pm, the vibe in the club seemed to pick up as well.

When Sammy finally joined me, we had a long convo to catch up, talk about other clubs, dancers that we both know, and why she left Bourbon. I finally asked her about the VIP setup, and had heard about the $40 entry cover in other reviews. It's true, you pay the DJ your $40 bucks just to enter the VIP area. I know from Scrub's reviews that supposedly half of this fee is optional, but I wasn't arguing and just paid the full amount. I have no doubt that VIP mileage varies dramatically in the club, probably much more on dayshift, but my dances with Sammy were pretty similar to Bourbon mileage. I did see camera housings in VIP, don't know if they are functional. The booths are decent sized, bigger than Bourbon, and separated by curtains that provide more privacy. We were in the last booth in a row on the right side, and the wall had a mirror which was a nice bonus. Dances were $20 per song, and it really seemed to me that the songs were mostly full length, nice! Did my extended session with Ms. Sammy, and was ready to leave, but she knows my weakness for big tits, and mentioned that I should check out another dancer that was in the club that night. I agreed, and she went to send her my way.
