Not a good visit

Been coming here on and off for a long time. Not much has changed over the years.

Stopped in mid week around 3pm and found the place pretty empty - maybe 5 old timers sitting in their regular bar chairs - and no more than 1-2 guys on the stage side of the club.

Grabbed a soda for $4 and sat on the stage side. I watched a parade of Latina women, mostly I. Their upper thirties and maybe even 40s take the stage, two at a time, and perform half heartedly for 3 songs. Perform is a bad choice of words, as most of that stood on stage and talked to the other dancer or sat on the divider between the bar area and the stage side of the club. I moved to a chair at stage side with a pile of singles hoping to liven up the action, and while I got some nice kitty views from some, they were brief and fleeting. After each girl danced, they either went to the table by the DJ booth and sat in their phones or disappeared into the back room near the kitchen area.

Only one of the dancers approached me for a dance - and unfortunately she was the oldest and least attractive of the group and did nothing for me, so I declined. After an hour and two sodas, I realized I picked a poor day for Ruby’s or picked the wrong club to visit. Hopefully it was just an off day - but based on reviews I have seen, this seems to be happening more and more.
