Play It Again Sam’s no longer worth visiting, IMO
I’ve been going to Sams off and on for the last 20 years. It’s typically labeled as a local bar, which it is since many customers come in and play the bar top machines. The dancers are also often described as girl next door types. I thought that the place was really quite good in pre-pandemic times; however, recently it has really gone downhill. My recent afternoon visit cost me under 100, but it was a waste of time although there’s no cover in the daytime, beers are $7, and layperson are the standard $20.
Before the pandemic dancers like Stephanie and CoCo would rock your world. Unfortunately, there is now nobody in that category. Granted, one reason for the limited contact during lapdances is the chilling effect that an LE visit this past March brought about. But still, this place is now just plain lame. Penelope, who typically comes in about mid afternoon, is probably the most personable of the bunch nowadays. After that, there are just a lot of ordinary gals, some of whom have an inflated opinion of themselves. Miranda, a 50-ish tall AA, is one such dancer,IMO. She’s quite attractive, but just has that GPS thing going for her that is off-putting.
I can’t speak to the quality, or lack thereof, of the night shift; however, I wouldn’t expect it to be much better.
After two decades of dropping every few weeks, I’m now swearing off PIAS’s for good.
