try Patterson clubs or drive slowly with your window rolled down in East New York
Platinum dolls is located in north times square. Please ignore Tonic/Lagos right next to Platinum Dolls, an over hyped vanilla hip hop restaurant next that catches violence over the years. The rope line is for Tonic/Lagos to get in, not Platinum Dolls. So I get into PD, I think they have a smartphone with a barcode reader, but they didn't scan my ID since I used a passport. $25 cover paid at the coat window after the ID check just inside the club. I then was jumped by 3-4 women in a row before the black swing doors. They didn't have radios, and looked too old and too much skin to be waitresses. "Hey you have really beautiful eyes, do you want me to seat you?" me "are you a dancer or a waitress?" her "I am a dancer" me "I'm not interested". I had to get past 3-4 of these fake waitresses before a bouncer opened the inner black swing doors onto the main club. Before the inner black doors, there is a staircase to the bathroom on floor 2.
I get in, and finally a woman with a radio asks me, what do you want to drink? I need to seat you. 9 women, 46 men. 2 waitresses. This is unique, PD DOES NOT HAVE A BAR. ALL drinks are brought from the kitchen by a waitress. $15 for a beer. Once you are sat, you can't move, or pick dancers yourself. They must come upto you. All are black, or overweight latinas, or russians over 40. I shot all of them down. I got offers for VIP rooms pretty quick from the dancers who did sat down, I didnt trust the women or they deals they whispered. 1 girl on stage at a time, no dollar tossing. Most men come in groups and buy single drinks and talk to each other or sit on their phones. 3-5 Dancers sit on main floor near the front door isolated. Another 3-4 stand at the front hallway to walk guys straight to VIP, no main floor. The waitresses will take 20 mins to get anything, they are over worked and should just be replaced by male waiters in white dress shirts and a bow tie IMO.
I finished my beer and left. There was nothing do here other than get a VIP room with a brooklyn or patterson street walker for 5x more than you should be paying. Most men treat this place as a bar with a stripper on stage that they DONT have to tip. I saw only 1 bottle service sold. I never saw a floor dance, I assume they are allowed, but I never saw one. Most dancers ignores the guests, so I assume those are regulars that never spend. I was new meat so they all came up. As I left I was followed by Haitian "taxi drivers" offering to take me to "real massage girls". I didn't engage and kept walking. That reflects on the club.
