So much potential
I am very nostalgic when it comes to this place. I have met many excellent dancers which made this my favorite club over ten years ago. It hasn't been the same in a very long time and probably will never return to its former glory, but I still have fond memories and continue to find some diamonds in the rough. That was the case on this Wednesday afternoon visit.
First, the obligatory location and layout of the place. You can find the address above. It is located towards the end of the Federal Hill area on a long straight side street running alongside a railroad track. It is a big turquoise building with FANTASIES scrawled along the top. Can't miss it among all the other red brick buildings. The parking lot is large and safe -- a little too large for the current volume of customers it gets. There is a grid of security cameras visible on a monitor inside above the entrance/exit if you ever want to check on your car. Again, the area seems safe. I have never had any concerns with that.
Inside, you do have to go through a metal detector which I find comforting, although the enforcement of it I find sometimes lacking. They did have an incident a few months ago with a gun going off in the men's room late at night. I don't frequent this club, or any club for that matter, too late into the night, so, again, not a concern for me. There is no cover before 6pm - not sure what it is at night but I don't imagine it is more than $10.
