Back to the Rhino

I arrived around 11pm on a recent Tuesday night. This was my first post Covid visit to the Rhino. Cover charge was approximately $43.50 or some similar asinine amount. Why don’t they just round it up?

They now make you wait to be seated by a host. They also round up a girl to walk with you and then sit at your table. I told the dude I’d just hang at the bar for a bit and he still had a girl show me to the bar. I didn’t really need the help, the girl wasn’t someone I wanted to spend money on either. I much preferred the opportunity to survey the girls first then select the girl(s) I like. Seems like common sense, but not here.

The club wasn’t very busy my entire visit, I stayed about 3 hours, it was actually probably as slow as I have seen it. It was a Tuesday night in late September though. Much of the club was roped off, just the main room was open. I’d guess there were as many dancers there as customers. They still had ‘Reserved’ signs on many of the tables and the seats around the main stage though. Despite that, I really had no trouble finding places to sit.
