Not angels but fun anyway
I visited Angels Cabaret in Anaheim on Friday September 23, 2022 from about 5:30 to 7:30 pm. The club is on Coronado St in an industrial area slightly west of Kraemer Blvd north of the 91 (Riverside) freeway . Even though the club was pretty busy there was ample parking in the lot behind it. The lot is shaded by trees. A sign said under new management, a dancer told me this was because the previous owner had died. Upon entering I was charged a cover of $5 and no security stuff.
The building is old and nothing at all fancy. As you enter the full alcohol bar is on the left, manned by two female bartenders and quite busy. I don’t drink so can’t tell anything about prices. Just looking around the room there were a lot of buckets of bottled beers being consumed. At the left end of the bar is a window to the kitchen where one can order food. I was hungry and had a pork cutlet, baked potato and veggies for $15, nothing special, about what one would expect for this price.
There was a rectangular stage along one wall of the main space which had a row of seats at the tip rail. Most of rest of the room was filled with tables and chairs with bench seating along the far wall from the stage. There was one pool table in the midst of this space, some customers played on it from time to time. The club was about 2/3 to 3/4 full with the customers being a mix of Anglo and Latino working class types for the most part.
