For this mileage might as well go to a real library
I visited Library Gentlemen’s Club - Anaheim on Friday September 23, 2022 from about 4 to 5:15pm. The club is just off the 91 (Riverside) freeway on the north side and about a block west of State College Blvd in an industrial area. There are about 20 or so parking spaces alongside the club which probably isn’t enough if the club is really busy. The club is in a long building of which the club itself only takes up at most a third of the length. The rest of the building has two roll up doors in it and I think, although I’m not sure, that at busy times they have valet parking that stashes the cars inside the building. When I entered I was given a quick pat down and then waved inside. Not being asked to pay a cover is usually a bad sign and indeed I discovered I was only the second customer this day (they open at 3 pm). There was one customer at the bar talking to the bartender, a dancer later told me this guy comes in every day. While I was there one more customer entered.
The physical plant of this club is very fancy. The main room is two stories high. On the far wall from the entrance is the full alcohol bar with about 10 seats. I don’t drink so have no idea about drink prices. I was told that they just recently started having food service as well. The stage is in the center of the room and has two poles. Seats at the tip rail on three sides. Tables and chairs away from the stage some of which especially on the bar side were marked reserved. Some booths along the edges of the room probably reserved for bottle service. The whole room is surrounded by a balcony one floor up with seating. There is a staircase up to the balcony on the right as you enter, there is also an elevator. Fancy LED light bars on the walls. The edge of the balcony had a large video screens wrapping around its entire length, showing at his time some kind of random artistic display. There were also screens behind and bar and on the opposite wall showing sports.
After about 15 minutes the DJ announced a dancer. During the time I was there 3 dancers appeared although there were breaks between dances. And yes, the DJ does refer to the dancers as “librarians”. The dancer I talked to said the place gets packed later at night and they can have 50 dancers. The few dancers I saw were good looking fit mid-20’s white gals. They danced two song sets generally topless in the second song. The poles are very high, up two stories, and one of the dancers climbed all the way to the top and slid down.
