Definitely worth exploring
I was in Houston on business and decided to try Mile High. Arrived around 7ish. Security/doormen were courtesy. I paid a modest cover-$5 or $8 and was directed through a door into the club. I was immediately greeted by a friendly hostess who took me to a table. There is one large rectangular room with a large stage with pole in the front of the club. The place is very clean and the tables are spread out-a big plus IME. There is small stage about 1/3 of the way back. I saw a few people smoking but the club does not smell of smoke. The place was not busy.
The music was good - mixture of hip hop and R&B. Volume allowed you to carry on a conversation at the table.Stage lighting was just Ok-I've seen way better set ups. The room lighting was ok but I prefer slightly darker rooms. Kind of didn't have a big city club feel. One thing that feels weird is that there are no tables close to the main stage. It may be because the main entry/exit to the club is not far from the stage. So if you want to tip a dancer you must walk all the way to the front of the club pass all the tables through what feels like a dead zone/no man's land. Tables closer to the main stage would be a plus. There are tables around the small stage though. There is a VIP room--more to come on that.
The dancers were 7 to 8s that night. A few AAs and the rest seemed to be Caucasian with definitely one Latina. Stage performances varied greatly. A few athletic types had good pole work which is a turn on for me. Most just moved around on the stage. Not all were topless on stage which is strange at a topless club. I did not need to wait long before being approached at my table. Most dancers were polite and asked if they could join me. No one jumped in my lap or started massaging my legs. The first few I declined as I wanted to get a sense of the room and the talent. Then the petite AA dancer came by - sorry, but forget her name. I am really fond of beautiful fit Black women. She fit that bill. She had a great personality - really outgoing and someone you enjoyed talking to. We decided to go for a few lap dances. I didn't like the lap dance set up. It's basically a long couch along the back wall. There is no privacy.
