Soft Tails? at least on this night Hell No!

I would assume that Saturday night around midnight should be a prime time to tell what a club would be like. But if this Saturday evening was any indication, Soft Tails would be a Hell No! This may be a little harsh based on one visit, but it certainly encompasses my experience.

If you head west out of Daytona on International Speedway Blvd you’ll come across Soft Tails in about 15-20 minutes, just on the east side of Deland. There were three cars out front of the building and one on the side, so I knew the place wasn’t going to be crowded. You walk in and you’re in a strange cube with a small hole for the bouncer to say, “Hello” and ask for your ID and $15 cover. To his credit, he then added, “Just to let you know, we only have 1 dancer tonight.” Normally, that would be enough to make me say “No thanks” and turn around and leave.

However, I’ve driven by this place several times and wanted to do a little reconnaissance so I thought why not. Paid and walked into a fairly nice and spacious place. To your right is a 15-seat bar then a T shaped stage with two poles. Beyond that are a dozen tables with two or three chairs each. The place is open enough you could sit anywhere and see the entire club. Two customers, one manager (woman), bartender and ONE dancer.
