I went to Cockatoo at 17:45 on a Saturday night and stayed until closing except for a dinner break. The strip club is in downtown Yankton next to a regular nightclub called Zebra Club, which is under the same ownership and can be accessed through a door inside the strip club. Parking is on the street. There was no cover charge to enter Cockatoo. The bar is on the left as you enter. The main stage is along the back half of the left wall. It has two pole positions and is elevated about two and a half feet off the floor. There is a pool table, dart board, and punching bag machine on the right side of the club. Six video slot machines make up an island of sorts between the two sides of the club. Sincweisers were $4, and Jager Bombs were $6.25. There is a daily Happy Hour from 16:00 to 18:00 where all drinks are two for the price of one. A full food menu is available for Mojo’s Pizza, which is just two doors down and also under the same ownership. The food is delivered to Cockatoo for you. The ATM has a maximum withdrawal of $200 and charges a $5 fee per transaction.
There were eleven dancers working on a Saturday night. There was a good variety of ethnicities and body types. Dancers ranged from a 4.5 to an 8 in looks. Dancers pick their music off of a TouchTunes jukebox, and you have to talk to dancers to find out what their names are. Dancers get topless on stage, and a few will briefly flash their pussies. There was contact allowed at the stage, and I got some groping in when I put dollars in the dancers’ g-strings. Most dancers gave lively stage performances, but the poles are only about six feet tall, so don’t expect Cirque du Soleil.
