Semi-regular patron

This club is a must visit every time I’m in Portland, which luckily for me has been 2x-5x a year since 2017. It’s not the only club I’ve visited in town, but is conveniently close to where I usually stay and offers the relaxed kind of friendly dive bar atmosphere that I just haven’t found in a lot of other places. The area feels safe enough for someone like me who’s used to big cities. I’ve been there on a mix of weekday and weekend nights, usually after 8pm, and it always seems to have a comfortable amount of patrons, dancers, and energy - not too crowded but not so bare that I feel like everyone is looking at me. Usually there’s a nominal cover charge, maybe around $5, though sometimes they just wave me in. I tend to dress respectably - clean buttoned shirt with nice pants or jeans, neatly groomed.

I like the young, alternative girls and there usually are a bunch that fit that type - in 2022 I’ve noticed more diversity in ethnicity and body type than before, which is fine by me. There’s not a lot I’m going to complain about with a beer in my hand and boobs in my face. The girls’ pole skills are quite impressive, as is the case with many Portland clubs, and many nights I just sit at the rack and tip, spending a total of $100 or so. Draft beers are of good quality and reasonable by my standards (under $10).

As of this review, my last visit was in May 2022. COVID restrictions were essentially non-existent or not noticeable. As usual, there were plenty of girls who were friendly but not pushy, and I was approached pretty much every time I was near the bar. I declined private dances from one black dancer, who inquired again at least two other times that night. She was very pretty but conversationally felt a little rote. Otherwise, tipping about $10-15 per dancer per set at the main stage seemed to get me a good amount of close-up attention.

This club has a smaller stage near the entrance, which isn’t always occupied. If it is I’ll go over there when the main stage dancer isn’t doing much for me. On this night in May, there was a cute girl with shorter dark hair and glasses that was very talkative during her performance there (though this isn’t unusual for this stage or this club for that matter). We hit it off and after her set she came right for me. She was short with small boobs, not rail skinny but if she were outside a club would have easily been a 7. Not usually my type, but like I said we hit it off. I hadn’t planned on private dances that night, but after I confirmed she was charging the usual 3/$100 and made clear that was all I wanted to spend I decided to replenish at the ATM (convenience fee was less than $10).

She took me to a booth next to the bar with a solid locking door (there are also booths I’ve been in with curtains). We chatted in the booth while waiting for a full song to start - she told me of her job outside the club which aligned well with my industry - and ended up chatting through the next without realizing, gave me a line about being new to the club, from TX (who knows?) She told me not to worry about it and promptly on the next full song removed her top, proceeding with a fair amount of heavy grinding below and her boobs in contact with my face. I let dancers take the lead and she unbuttoned several of my shirt buttons and placed my hands in several locations on her body to let me know what was acceptable. She removed her bottom articles on the 2nd song and nibbled on my ear quite a bit, and when I get that it’s like kryptonite. I did get a full 3rd nude song for my time and by that song her face was in my lap - I was still fully clothed but I’ve only experienced that unsolicited attention a couple other times in south Florida. Needless to say, I tipped an extra $20, for which she seemed genuinely thankful. Conversation afterwards was pleasant, and she said something along the lines of, “I can tell we’d have a lot of fun down in the dungeon”.
