I haven’t been to playmates for about 5 years, but I was back in the area recently and it seemed about the same. The building is “rustic” to be generous, and the inside has a small stage, bar seats and, I think, one or two tables. The night I was there I saw 4 dancers - one smoking hot and three ranging from 4 -6. I’ve had good visits here in the past, but it can be hit or miss depending on the dancers. Most will give good attention at the tip rail and you can get a pretty good idea about what to expect for a private dance. Private dances are behind the bar in curtained booths. These are a little rough, but it’s dark and gets the job done. They have a package deal on entry for a drink and dances at a discount. This is a good deal, but you run the risk of not knowing who will be working. It was a slow night so I stayed about 2 hours and tipped at the rail but didn’t take anyone for a private. The really attractive girl seemed interested in the stage and disappeared after each set, so I got the impression she wasn’t interested in a private and probably wouldn’t be a lot of fun. If you’re looking for a “New York” club, this ain’t it, but it’s a laid back country kind of place.
