• Papi_ChuloApproved·There are dancers that will start dancing as soon as you get back to the dance-area and will count that as a full-song even if it’s halfway-over by the time she starts or even mostly over; it’s a way to score an extra-$20 – best to tell the dancer to wait till the next-song (proxima-cancion). I also make it a habit to tell the dancer to let me know upfront every time she starts a new song; although this can be harder to communicate w/ a non-English-speaking-dancer. I use the stopwatch in my cellphone to keep track of the dances – i.e. when I get to the club I time a couple of songs to see how long they are being played – let’s say songs are played 3.5-minutes on avg – then when I get dances I just kick-off the stopwatch in my cellphone – if I got dances for let’s say 10-minutes that lets me know I did 3-songs – in the past when I didn’t time songs I wasn’t 100%-sure how many songs I’d done and would usually pay-up b/c I wasn’t sure – once I started timing the songs I have not paid the upcharge anymore – when a dancer tells me “we did 4” I show her I’ve been timing it and they “usually* back-down (they count on the custy being distracted w/ the dances and not keeping count) – some dancers don’t give a s*** that you’ve been timing the songs and still wanna up-count/upcharge you b/c most guys pay-up like you did – but once I started timing the songs and was sure how many I was getting, I have not paid an over-counter no-matter what she says.
