First post but long time traveler to TJ. I fly into SD walk across and take a taxi to Cascadas. Like to stay 2 nights. I’m mid 50’s but look late 40’s and fit with healthy bankroll. Do not party where I live this is the ultimate escape. My last visit was 4 months ago and planning on returning this weekend. Bummed to hear of the border trouble, hope it is safe and less crowded this weekend. The changes my last visit were considerable. HC bought the neighboring bar and is now much larger. Prices up too on service and rooms. Still same waiters because I tip well and they don’t forget that. They fight over my table because I spend money on drinks for myself and girls. I’ve noticed more attitude from the girls and some will not hang with guys my age. Don’t speak Spanish and that limits me as well. More girls speak English at HC than Adelitas and that keeps me going back there because I like some booth time before heading upstairs. Looking forward to the weekend as this may be my last time taking these chances.
