Like a Pussycat, won’t come to you looking to be petted, but have some redeeming qualities

I was in Louisville for a night with a real tight window for clubbing. I hit up GMD for some intel and he was super cool and informative. Based on where I was staying on the east side of the city, I really only had Pussycat and Godfather to choose from. I opted for PC first but hit both.

It was 1130p or so when I got to PC. Paid a $5 cover and got a reasonable beer, maybe $7. Place is a decent size but strange layout. Bar is on the far wall of a rectangularish floor plan. Stage is down at a short end of the rectangle and wraps around with two sides of viewing area. It’s not raised and there is a ledge around it. There is a distinctive light situation with colored lights behind opaque panels. The configuration is unique but in and of itself would be fine.

The rest of the room is characterized by a very long island high top running parallel to the bar and vinyl bench seats opposite the bar. Think old timey diner style. The weird things about them is that a few of them are oriented to face the bar not the stage and many of them have no table on which to rest a drink. The setup was not an issue this night as there were maybe 7-10 dancers and about a dozen custies so plenty of places to sit. The place probably has seating, bar space and high top space for 75 or more if you packed them in.
