Decent weekday visit

I recently read lurkingdog's review of Fantasyland West and could immediately relate to what he found. I've been to this club quite a few times over the last 5 or 6 years and have run into the same problem of no girls more than once. The club is a bit of a hike for me so I have learned to call ahead to see who, or if anyone, was working. Most of the time there are girls available, but not right at opening. I usually visit mid-afternoon on a weekday.

The club itself is kind of dumpy. The exterior is not inviting and the stone (more like rocks) parking lot has quite a few potholes. Upon entering, there is a small window that opens to the bar where one pays the $10 cover. The cover is always collected unless there are no girls present. The person who collects the cover is usually sitting in a back area so you have to give him/her a minute to get to the bar. Opening the front door lets them know that someone has arrived.

The interior is not too bad looking with the bar on the left and a stage in the middle of the room surrounded by tables and chairs. The private dance area is beyond the bar on the left as you enter. The restroom is in the back on the right and can only be described as spartan. Not dirty, just not real pretty. The stage sits in the middle of the room and has recently undergone a renovation. The 2x4 railing has been replaced by black PVC! I'm a bit curious as to why this was done as I have NEVER seen anyone dancing on stage. Maybe this place had a heyday 30 years ago and it was necessary, but no longer.
